A Worn Path

  1. The main character of this story is phoenix Jackson : an old black woman, she is poor, humorous, brave, disoriented, and seems to be pitiful person. I like the character in this story. As an aging black woman he want that African and Americans and must conquer these unjust obstacles in order to complete the path to racial equality.
  2. The story takes setting in early morning in the country outside Natchez, December. I like this setting.
  3. the story tells us about Equality of human right.
  4. symbolism; the most obvious symbol in the story is phoenix Jackson’s comparison to the mythological bird, the phoenix. the phoenix bird is a very common symbol of immorality
  5. the important event in the story is at the climax of the story that is, Elisa begin to give up to her goal and ideas to be free from man dominating in the society.
